Management of the Atrophic Alveolar Ridge – Hard and Soft Tissue Considerations
Learning Objectives
- Understand the biological foundations and clinical challenges associated with alveolar ridge resorption, including the impact of atrophy on both hard and soft tissues.
- Explore the decision-making process, methods, and outcomes of different bone grafting materials and membranes to restore the alveolar ridge in patients with moderate to severe atrophy
- Identify considerations for timing, single vs. staged procedures in achieving adequate ridge height and width for future implant placement.
- Analyze the impact of soft tissue grafting on esthetics, function, and long-term implant stability in patients with severe alveolar ridge atrophy.
